If you’re taking the plunge into the OC “green” lifestyle, and are in touch with your inner videographer, you might want to answer the call: a local business owner says she wants to select several Orange County residents to make green video diaries.
Pamela Sterling (left), the owner of Laguna Green in Laguna Beach, says she will choose three to six families, couples or singles from among those who apply to be part of the “Be the Change Diaries Project.” Those chosen will keep video diaries, which Sterling will post each week during “earth month” in April. Each person chosen also will receive what Sterling calls a free “Healthy Home Assessment,” and suggestions on how to grow even greener.
“What I’m doing is asking people to apply to basically have us follow them, with video diaries of themselves going green,” Sterling said.
She expects the videos to be about three to five minutes in length. While she will have some oversight and do some editing of the videos, and will post them, she says they will be shot by the participants themselves.
Anyone interested should contact Sterling by Mar. 14 at pam@laguna-green.com or 714-654-9860.
Sterling, who runs an ”ecosmart kitchen and bath gallery,” hopes to call attention to the local going-green movement.
“I really wanted to get Orange County residents involved in an active way with going green, inspiring each other to go green,” she said.
Watch this space for some of the videos when Sterling is ready to post them.
