Candy chain decorations. Drought-tolerant plants. A world clock. Walls adorned with newspapers to keep away “evil economy spirits.”

The ideas and photos have begun to arrive for the Orange County Register’s “How I went green” contest.

Post a photo and a short description of what you did to go green and you might be a winner. Visit the contest Web page to find out more, or to vote for one of the entries; all entries must be submitted by April 17, and two winners will be announced on Earth Day, April 22.
