Pick up a “U-verse” TV box and, soon after, AT&T and the Sundance Channel will plant a tree in a national forest on your behalf.
The promotion, which runs through May, is meant to celebrate Arbor Day (April 24) and the Sundance Channel’s “THE GREEN” series. Soon after your purchase, you’ll receive a card in the mail from the Arbor Day Foundation confirming your tree planting — the card, of course, is made of recycled paper.
“U-verse” boxes can provide TV, phone and computer-line services, including DVR systems. They are built to conserve more energy than other, similar systems, AT&T says.
The company says the boxes can be purchased at 24 AT&T store locations in Orange County.
