Buildings and roads might be hotbeds of smog formation, playing host to chemical reactions that lead to higher levels of harmful ozone gas, according to a new study by a UC Irvine chemistry professor.

Didn't we ban R-12 (CFC refrigerant) because it REDUCED ozone?

I think these BS studies are just more welfare for "scientists" Then a bunch of stupid laws will be made up just to push America further down the path to being a third world country.

Pretty soon the goverment will spend a couple of hundred billion and realize that Global Warming is caused by houses, roads and man made surfaces that displace oxygen generating plants. Yeah grass! By the way, I believe in nukes and fuel cells but hydrogen generated by nukes feeding fuel cells will only be about 30% efficient end to end. That ought to heat up the atmosphere!

I think the ultimate solution is more nuclear power for major electrical generation, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. All of this other dabbling in energy efficient "green" technologies other than the ones I mentioned (biofuel, wind, etc.) is a waste of time and effort. Let's invest some serious money in nuclear and hydrogen fuel sells and get on with a REAL solution to carbon emissions.
